We are pleased to report a new name for one of our leading and founding members of AOMG.

 “A world’s leading producer of oleochemicals from natural oils and fats recently unveiled its new branding and company name to EMERY OLEOCHEMICALS.  

The Malaysian-headquartered oleochemicals giant, formerly known as Cognis Oleochemicals, has dedicated its activities to a high level of sustainability and delivers natural source raw materials and ingredients for food, nutrition and healthcare markets, and the cosmetics, detergents and cleaners industries. Another main focus is on products for a number of other industries, such as coatings and inks, lubricants, as well as agriculture and mining.

The new branding follows the Joint Venture Agreement between Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd (Sime Darby Plantation) and PTT Chemical International Private Ltd (PTT Chemical) back in July 2008.   Following that PTT Chemical completed its acquisition of 50 percent shareholding in Cognis Oleochemicals in November 2008.”
